"Hoi tu pon tak nampak?!"

5th poster, the feeling is so much different, the palpitation? cold sweat? can say almost none, calmness flow through out my face going for first day in surgical department.

And most of the bosses already have trust in you because you are senior and you already completed medical department. People said if u passed medical department u already "sebelah kaki" becoming MO. Orang la cakap bukan aku. The confident level is quite different.

Ha 5th poster mana? senior kan? ha you, Ryles tube ni 'in' ka tak how do you know, sambil pegang x ray di tangan. aku pon erk! mana tip dia awat tak nampak?? hoi 5th poster pon taktau! Sergah mo! Jap bos tak nampak kena letak dekat x ray box ni, jawab aku bagi alasan.

I switched on the x ray box,"ha ni boss tip of RT" jawab aku confident, "haa nasib baik nampak. Kalau dak hntaq p posting medical balik la." Bila aku switched off the x ray box, "eh nampak ja tip of RT walaupon tak guna x ray box, haa tu la over confident sgt nseb tak kena sembur."

Moral of the story do not be over confident, jangan rasa pandai dah, "aku senior dah terer dah," ilmu kan milik Allah anytime dia nak tarik dia boleh tarik. Again, be humble. Benda senang mcm tip of RT pon boleh tak nampak.

Senior poster ni usually the ego is different especially when you have 1st or 2nd poster in the ward. "Ahh suruh junior lah", " alah bila lagi nak train junior", yes i agree with a lot of practice the junior will become better, but don not forget to teach and guide them to do the right things.

Bila mereka dah pandai kan akan lagi mudah kerja kita. Pahala mengajar tu tak yah cakap la confirm masuk "akaun" dah. One more, if ajar benda betul barulah bos tak marah, because later on the one who will also get scolded if the junior made mistakes is the senior."

Awat hampa tak ajaq depa?!" hah sudah. Pastu senior tak puas hati dekat junior, junior buat ikut suka hati dia, maka bermulalah working environment yang tak seronok bak kata orang "toxic environment", the blaming game will start. You do not want to see when the blaming game occurs. Remember we are a team.

And on OT day , you will spend most of the time in OT especially when you are senior. Learn many kind of operation, different surgeon different style, eventhough it is the same operation, but with different surgeon you will learn different ways, so kena marah pon berbeza la padahal you buat benda yang sama, so apa nak buat, relax and enjoy kena marah haha. Layan je..

One of my surgeon that time, we always played futsal and even join futsal competition together, laughing here and there, but when you enter OT with him you will be surprised how different person he will be, he is not the same human being you met yesterday at futsal court.

Strict and garang gila even i myself got scolded by him everytime i assist him in OT. Jangan ambil hati, it is their job and responsibility to conduct the operation and saves a life. It is not an easy tasks. Sungguh berat tanggungjawab yg dipikul. Tak hairanlah surgeon selalunya garang- garang.
